CloserReel is a product of Chris Castle, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what CloserReel accesses in your Close CRM account, why, and what happens to that data. It applies to Close account admins and users who connect CloserReel.
When you connect CloserReel by entering a Close API key, we use it only for the following purposes:
GET /me/) — to validate the key and identify your organization.GET /lead/) — lead name, status, and assigned user, to know when to generate a video and who owns it.GET /contact/, inlined on the lead) — the associated contact's name, to personalize the script.GET /opportunity/) — opportunity value and status, to personalize the script.GET /user/) — the lead owner's name, to select the correct rep avatar and voice.POST /activity/note/) — to post the finished video's link back onto the lead record.POST /webhook/) — to register a subscription so we're notified when a lead's status changes. We do not request access to email content, calls, or any Close data outside of what's listed above.
We store your Close organization ID, your API key (encrypted with AES-256, never stored or logged in plain text), the lead/contact/opportunity data snapshot used to generate each video, the generated script, the rendered video file, and basic usage counters (videos sent this billing period). Sales reps' avatar selections are stored against their Close user ID.
CloserReel relies on the following third parties to function, each of which processes a limited slice of data on our behalf:
We do not sell CRM data, script content, or video content to any third party, and we do not use your Close data to train AI models.
Video records (the lead snapshot, script, and video) are retained for as long as your account is active, so you can view your video history in the dashboard. If you disconnect CloserReel, we stop pulling new data immediately, delete the registered webhook from your Close account, and retain existing records for a limited period in case you reconnect, after which they are deleted.
You can request deletion of your account's stored data at any time by emailing [email protected] from an email associated with your Close account. Disconnecting from the dashboard immediately deletes your stored API key and the registered webhook, preventing any further reads or writes to your Close account.
Your Close API key is stored server-side, encrypted with AES-256, and never exposed to the browser or logged in plain text. Inbound webhook deliveries from Close are verified against a signing key before any data is acted on. All traffic to and from CloserReel is served over HTTPS.
CloserReel is a business-to-business tool intended for use by sales organizations and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, notify account admins directly.
